We were just made aware of your father's death and are very sorry we missed his funeral. He and Irene were wonderful people who opened their home and hearts to us when we were young. We had great times listening to him play at Creasent Beach and many other clubs around the city. Acouple of yrs ago he mailed me pics of the Dixiland Ramblers playing at the Mardi Gras. He always made us laugh. When he came home late on Sat. nights after playing he would often stop in the house on Maplewood for a "nightcap". Some nights when he was too tired he would just throw a few empty beer cans in the back yard so we would know he was thinking of us.Or do you think it was to rile up the Mormons who lived next door? He will always be a part of our lives since he gave us so many memories. Our sincere condolences to Betty and your family. Sherry (Linehan) Erdle and Jim. cmerdle@hotmail.com
